Offshore Waters Forecast for Caribbean Sea, and the Tropical N
Atlantic from 07N to 19N W of 55W.
Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average
height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

19N W of 55W

.SYNOPSIS...A strong tropical wave is moving across the eastern
Caribbean and adjacent Atlantic waters producing scattered showers
and isolated thunderstorms, along with strong winds and rough
seas. This wave will move W to WNW and impact Hispaniola tonight
and Monday, then eastern Cuba into Tue. Elsewhere across the
basin, the pressure gradient between the subtropical ridge and
Colombian low will continue to force fresh to locally strong
easterly trades and moderate to locally rough seas over the
central and eastern Caribbean through the week, with moderate or
weaker winds and slight to moderate seas prevailing for the
remainder of the waters.
